Privacy & anonymous analytics

Mind Play is built to be listened to without an account. That also means the numbers we keep about visits and plays are anonymous, aggregated, and deliberately limited.

What we measure

We record anonymous usage counts: which pages are opened, which tracks start playing, and a coarse device type (desktop, mobile or tablet).

That is all. It lets us see how many people listen, what they listen to most, and where the site is hard to use.

Cookies and browser storage

Mind Play does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party ad networks.

To tell visits apart, your browser stores two random ids: a visitor id in local storage that stays until you clear it, and a session id that is deleted when you close the tab. These ids are random strings. They are not linked to your name, your email or your account.

If you sign in, listening and browsing are still measured only through these anonymous ids.

What we never store

We do not store names, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, precise location, or any account id in analytics.

Analytics records contain a random id, a page path, a track reference, a device type and a date. Nothing in them identifies a person.

Your control

Clearing your browser site data, or browsing in a private window, resets your anonymous id. Nothing else changes: every track, artist and page still works without analytics.

Because analytics are anonymous, there is no profile to look up, export or delete.

These numbers are estimates

One person can count as several visitors. Using a different browser, a second device, or a private window creates a new anonymous id, and clearing your browser data does the same. We treat every figure as a guide to how the site is being used, not as an exact headcount.
